Adjunct Accounting Instructor

Position Description:

The adjunct Accounting instructor will teach Accounting courses on an as needed basis. This may include traditional face to face, hybrid and/or online courses. The adjunct Accounting instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching aids for the course, assisting with Tax Help Colorado, facilitating classes during the day and/or evening, and submitting student grades and documentation in accordance with NJC policies.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in Accounting
  • Significant work experience in the Accounting field.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a classroom environment.
  • Must submit to and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check as a condition of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior training or teaching experience.
  • Experience with Daylight (D2L) learning management system.
  • Experience with integrating iPad technology into courses.


This adjunct position begins in the Fall 2019 semester.  This position is paid per credit hour at $649.00 and is not benefits eligible. All employees are PERA retirement eligible.
